Right to Life Carnation Sale
Next weekend after all masses, we’ll be hosting a $1 carnation sale to support RTL – LIFESPAN. This 45-year old organization works to protect the sanctity of human life and shape moral values through educational and public awareness programs. LIFESPAN aims to promote mercy by speaking for those who cannot talk for themselves. Bring cash to honor a favorite woman and protect life with a beautiful carnation!

New: Introduction on Reading the Bible
We are only one week into a series to discuss the book, The Bible Compass; A Catholic’s Guide to Navigating the Scriptures, by Dr. Edward Sri. We meet from 7PM – 8:30PM on Monday evenings for the next four weeks. Please consider joining us! This book provides a fantastic overview of how Catholics interpret the bible, and would provide a great foundation for individuals who are new to scripture reading, or for those who want a firmer foundation for their continued study. Call to register so I can order a book for you, or obtain one on your own.
Clean-Up the World
As part of our responsibility to care for creation, St. Mary of the Hills has once again “adopted” John R Rd. between Auburn and Avon Roads. Clean up for the road will take place on Saturday, May 21. We will meet in the church narthex at 10:00 AM to provide needed materials, sign waivers, and share in a brief prayer. You will then be shuttled to your designated area of the road. All clean-up will be done by 12:00 PM. Minors must have an adult volunteering with them. Your participation will help reduce trash and litter along John R Rd. and maintain a clean and attractive environment. Sign-Up
Christian Classics Book Club
Our next meeting will be on May 16 at 7:45 PM. At that meeting, we’ll discuss Home Fires, by Julie Summers. Summers writes this social history of Great Britain’s “Women’s Institute” based on her mother and grandmother’s participation in the group during WWII and following. As such, we are provided with an intimate retelling of the activities of the group, delving into the ethical and moral implications of what was happening during that period. Please consider joining us!
If your address, phone number or email address has changed, please let us know so we can keep our parish records up-to-date. Census Information Form
