Upcoming Events

Christian Classics Book Club
Our Christian Classics Book Club will meet at 7:45 on May 18, 2015 to discuss, Where River Turns to Sky, by Gregg Kleiner. Please consider joining this great group of readers!

New Bible Studies
Our Wednesday group, that meets from 1 PM to 2:30, will begin a study of Paul’s Second Letter to the Corinthians on March 25th. This seven week study might be a good way for you to get your feet wet in studying the bible among a nice group of women. (Men ARE also welcome)

Also coming soon… our Monday night is finishing up the study of the Psalms. Talk of starting a study of the seven deadly sins, as featured in scripture, is being considered. If you think you might be interested, please contact Peggy Casing or 248-243-0251 for more info.

Help Needed for Easter Vigil
We really could use your help! Currently, I have two volunteers who can help during the Easter Vigil reception, but I need help with set up (around 4-5 PM), and more help with making and serving punch and keeping things tidy at the reception (from about 10—11 PM on April 4th). Appetizers and desserts are also needed. Any, and all, types of “finger foods” are great. Items can be dropped off, that day, in the kitchen. Just mark them “Easter Vigil.” It’s not mandatory, but it is helpful if you let me know what you are bringing.

Helping with this reception is a great way to welcome our newest members to St. Mary’s community. Please contact Peggy Casing at 248-243-0251 to volunteer.

Know Someone in Crisis?
We have a special outreach ministry here at St. Mary’s. We are happy to help those individuals in need of comfort in a time of sorrow, illness, or struggle. We provide that support through prayer and blankets or shawls that are knitted, or crocheted, by members of our volunteer ministry. We meet every 2nd Thursday of the month at 10 AM and/or 7 PM (March 12th). If you can’t meet with us, you can still work from home. If you, or someone you know, would like to receive a shawl and be included in our prayers, please contact Peggy Casing  at 248-243-0251.
