Birthday Party for Jesus – Sponsored by the Knights of Columbus
Join us in celebrating His Birthday on Saturday December 5th in the Father Strain Gymnasium 12-2 PM. There will be games, crafts and storytelling by Father Stan! A light lunch of hot dogs and chips will be served. We will decorate cupcakes and sing a birthday song! Parents please RSVP by December 3rd so we have a count for the lunch. RSVP
Christmas Eve Family Liturgy
Children of the parish are invited to participate in the gospel dramatization of Jesus’ birth at the 6 PM Mass on Christmas Eve. Children in grades K-2 are invited to play stable animals but must provide their own costumes. Please indicate which animal they would like to play. Children in grades 3-5 can choose from the following parts with costumes provided by St. Mary’s: Mary, Joseph, Angels, Shepherds, Inn Keepers, or Caesar Augustus.
A mandatory practice will be held in the church on Monday, December 21st from 6:30-8 PM led by Kate Wydeven. Parents of K-2 students are asked to stay for the duration of the practice, while gr. 3-6 parents are asked to stay for the first 15 minutes. Please turn in the registration form by December 7th to the parish office. If there are more children than parts, we will fill by order of registration. Registration Form

Join Us For Book Club
Our next meeting will be on January 11, 2016 at 7:45 PM, when we’ll discuss Fearfully and Wonderfully Made: A Surgeon Looks at the Human & Spiritual Body, by Philip Yancey and Paul Brand. This book is a weaving of appreciation for the gift God has given us in the form of our bodies, but also a look at what that means for the Body of Christ,, the Church. Included in the text are reflections on Blessed Mother Teresa, Rubenstein, and Baryshnikov, just to name a few! Consider joining us.
Passion and Purpose Marriage Event
On March 12, 2016, St. Anastasia Parish in Troy will be hosting Dr. Allen Hunt from Dynamic Catholic. Dr. Hunt will be speaking on Passion and Purpose for Marriage.
