Career Ministry
The St. Mary of the Hills Career Ministry is a Christian Action Response to the Economy. (C.A.R.E.)   The goal is to foster meaningful career choices and equip job seekers with the resources necessary to adapt to the current employment challenges.

Commission Member
Promotes Fellowship in the Parish. Commitment: One Saturday Morning per moth.

Child Care Co-op
Exchange babysitting services with other families.

Faith Sharing Group
Share your faith through prayer and scripture study with other adults.

Family Fellowship
Organize activities for families of the parish.

Gardening Club
This is for men and women of the parish who are interested in helping to maintain the flowerbeds surrounding the building. Weeding, watering, spring planting are some of the ways to help St. Mary's buildings and grounds look beautiful. Commitment: 1 time in Spring, 1 time in Fall

Golf Leagues

Guilds
Small groups of people with common interests.

Interchurch Women of Rochester
Members meet on the first Monday morning of each month held at local churches in the Rochester community. The morning includes coffee, a brief business meeting at 9:00, followed by a speaker and a potluck lunch. Babysitting is free.

Junior Youth Group (JYG)
Group for boys and girls in grades 6 through 8. Meets twice a month Sept. through May. JYG

Knights of Columbus
The Knights are a Catholic family centered fraternal service organization offering unlimited opportunities for members and their families to support our church and religious leaders. The five key areas of involvement are church, community, council, family, and youth activities.

Men's Basketball

Men's Fellowship
This group provides men a forum for discussion of, and reflection upon various issues in the lives of the men of St. Mary's. These men meet from 6:45 to 9:00  AM  the first Saturday of the month.

PAVAL Softball / Volleyball

Pinochle Club
Couples interested in fun and fellowship meet monthly at couples homes to play pinochle. Teams are organized in September and again in January.

Quilt Guild
Women get together weekly on Wednesday evenings to share quilting projects. There are often demonstrations and guest speakers. All are welcome.

Senior Exercise
Exercise to video tapes with other seniors. M, W, F mornings

Senior Fellowship
Seniors get together for fun and friendship. One meeting per month.

Singles Fellowship
We are a group of single, (single again) divorced, widowed individuals that meet at least twice a month for friendship, laughter, and fun.  more info

St. Mary's Youth Group (SMYG)
Group for boys and girls in grades 9 through 12. Meets weekly Sept. through May. SMYG

Hospitality Ministries

Advent By Candlelight
An evening reflecting on the season of Advent, table hostesses provide the dessert for her table of eight as well as the table settings, tablecloths, dinnerware,  etc. The church provides the coffee and tea. Help to plan and write advent program (Oct/Nov).

Cookie Ministry
Bake cookies for newcomers.

Easter Vigil Reception
Easter Vigil reception welcoming  the now fully initiated members of the church and their families.

Kitchen Help 
Set tables, wash dishes, etc. during church events.

Parish Picnic 
Help plan the annual parish picnic (Aug. / Sept.).

RCIA Hospitality
RCIA hospitality each Wednesday during the months of September through April. Donate food items to RCIA Class and/or welcome guests.

Refreshment Committee 
Volunteers are needed to occasionally host parish events throughout the year. Members serve as hostess or hosts and setup, serve food, help clean up, prepare a dish, or shop for the necessities.

Welcome Center Ministry
Volunteers are needed to welcome people, before and after mass, by answering frequently asked questions related to our parish community. Time commitment is twenty (20) minutes before and after mass, generally once a month or once every two months.
