Act / Serve February 26 was National Catholic Call In Day for Dreamers. NOCP-North Oakland Catholic Parishes are sponsoring a refugee family of five from Syria. Use SignUpGenius to help at HOPE Warming Center, April 15.
‘Bin on Wheels’ in the Narthex is for food collections for St. Michael and Rochester Area Neighborhood House; Toiletries for CCRT. Shoe Recycling is nearby. Coupons for diapers, baby wipes is near the Chapel.
Charitable Giving received and disbursed $6,280.87. The annual recipient organizations are posted to the parish website.
Outreach received $1,331.45 and disbursed $138.57. **
Through direct service, parishioners have the opportunity to experience life on the margins at HOPE Warming Center, Grovecrest Assisted Living, Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries, Gleaners and CCRT-Catholic Community Response Team. Through these encounters, parishioners have met the poor Christ in our neighbors seeking housing, struggling with homelessness, seniors at assisted living, and families with young children living in poverty.
