Christian Classics Book Club

Summer is the perfect time to pick up a book. Did you know that St. Mary’s has two different book clubs?  One club is run by John Griffith, and the other by me, Peggy Casing! The group I run is a gathering of a great group of readers, called the Christian Classics Book Club.  The focus of CCBC is to read books that would be found in a “classics” section of a bookstore, or more contemporary literature that is written to convey the complexities of spirituality, morality, or other aspects of living. As such, I recommend that you take the opportunity that summer provides to pick up a copy of the next book from our group, and “stay tuned” to find out what John is offering!

Our next book is, When Breath Becomes Air, by Paul Kalanithi, foreword by Abraham Verghese. Read the entire book, then join us on September 17, 2018 at 7:45 PM for a lively discussion.  Feel free to contact me, Peggy Casing, for further information.  Here is our full reading list: Christian Classics Book Club 2018-2020 schedule
