Community Policing & Educational Event - Oakland County Sheriff's Office

This one-day event is an educational and informational opportunity that focuses on breaking down the barriers of ideology and misinformation to rebuild the network of trust between law enforcement and our communities. 

This cooperative effort between the Sheriff’s Office, the Community Foundation, and the citizens of Oakland County will enhance awareness, dispel myths, and set the foundation for mutual understanding. 

The event will consist of, introduction of speakers, a panel discussion on de-escalation and mental health crisis response, refreshments, resource tables, recruiting tables, opportunities to engage in law enforcement simulation training, and networking.
